Mindful Eating, Mindful Living Workshop, March 7th 2015 at Bamford Haybarn, Daylesford Farm, Kingham, Gloucestershire
This workshop will provide an introduction to mindfulness and mindful eating with a focus on bringing back enjoyment and ease to our day-to-day experiences around food and eating. Mindfulness can help us to become happier and less anxious about how we eat, balancing eating for good health and nutrition with the equally important task of enjoying our food. It can also allow us to gently let go of our established habits and patterns around food.
During the day we will explore mindful eating practices to:
• step out of autopilot around food
• taste, savour and enjoy the food we choose for ourselves
• re-connect with our internal signals of hunger and satisfaction
• become more aware of what is leading us to eat
• bring balance to how we choose our food
• cultivate a kind and non judgmental approach to caring for ourselves

We will be running an 8 week mindful eating course at the NOA Community Centre in Summertown, Oxford. The course will support participants to create a comfortable, enjoyable and sustainable relationship with food and eating. The sessions will include eating exercises, discussion and simple breath and body mindfulness meditations to help us to be present and aware when we eat, connect with our body’s signals about hunger and satisfaction and explore the ways food, mind and body interact.
We'd love to see you there! You can read more about the course here Mindful Eating - an 8 week mindfulness course and book via our Eventbrite booking page.
